An ode to early morning cattle-call auditions, sung by a quirky soprano (think "The Girl in 14-G"). Recently performed in the New York Festival of Song concert NIGHT AND DAY/USA at Merkin Concert Hall.

PAUL FUJIMOTO is a proud native of Seattle, WA. Current projects include: NOT EXACTLY ROMEO, a multi-media musical comedy (www.notexactlyromeo.com), LEGACY, a song cycle based on Shakespearean characters and scoring John McMinn’s new film, APOCRYPHON.

His work was showcased in NYMF’s 2007 ‘NEW GENERATION OF SONG’ concert and Lincoln Center Library’s FUTURE OF BROADWAY 2009 concert. In Summer 2007, he was an invited participant in the Johnny Mercer ‘Power of the American Song’ Project with Craig Carnelia, Andrew Lippa, Amanda McBroom, Lari White and Brian D'Arcy James. As a Camp Broadway Teaching Artist, Paul taught the craft of lyric writing to enthusiastic tweens in preparation for Carnegie Hall’s Johnny Mercer Centennial Celebration. Paul is also a jazz composer/arranger and award-winning trumpet soloist.
