About the song

from the radio musical MACKENZIE & THE MISSING BOY
music and lyrics by JOEL B. NEW

Dramatic Setup: Henry lives in an orphan asylum run by his aunt. However, he has been led to believe he has no family to speak of. We join him and his best friend Christopher as they sing to a broom that’s supposed to represent an unfortunate-looking girl. Note: the song is diegetic in nature but also a nod to the assumed/mistaken identities that run rampant throughout the show.

The sheet music is available in the following keys/versions: Eb major.
